Pasadena Southwest Little League is hosting the District 17 Little League All-Star Tournament, with play beginning on June 29.

The District 17 tournament eventually leads to the Little League World Series in Williamsport, PA. It is an incredible honor to host one of these tournaments and we hope all of you come out to support these young players and our league.

In addition to the standard costs of hosting the tournament which includes uniforms, league tournament fees, and field prep, this year we have the added requirements of investing in two critical upgrades required to bring our field to Little League Baseball International standards (which are required whether or not we host the tournament). We have installed professional-style foul poles and have replaced the scoreboard remote control. The total cost for these upgrades is $5,000, bringing the total cost of this year’s tournament to over $10,000.

As we make a concerted effort to keep our player registration fees affordable, they don’t cover the additional tournament costs.

This is where we need your help.

Your tax-deductible gift will go a long way to helping the league in general and making Allendale the best field for our players in Pasadena.

In honor of this year’s All-Star tournament, we are offering the following recognition programs:

  • Single: $50
  • Double: $100
  • Triple: $250
  • Home Run: $500 or more
  • Left Field or Right Field Foul Pole Name Sponsor: $2,500

Single, Double, Triple and Home Run donors will receive special on-field recognition throughout the tournament, and Home Run Donors will additionally receive an outfield banner that will be displayed throughout the entire 2020 season.

Foul Pole name sponsors will receive family or business name recognition on the foul pole mesh for the next five years (similar to Dodger Stadium and many other big league stadiums, please contact me directly for details and special arrangements).

With the spring season winding down, Pasadena Southwest Little League’s Closing Ceremonies are scheduled for Saturday, June 1. Stop by to wrap up the great 2019 PSWLL baseball season along with your coaches, teammates, family and friends.

Start time is 9 a.m. when managers and teams will line up in the outfield and get introduced since Opening Day was rained out. Teams should be present by 8:30 a.m. and no later than 8:45 a.m. to assemble and line up. Later, trophies will be handed out to the tournament winners.

The league’s traditional “bat ceremony” will follow for graduating 12-year-olds. Graduating kids each get an engraved bat and run through a tunnel formed by the younger players. It’s a can’t miss event. Festivities will conclude with the league’s annual Home Run Derby for graduating 12 year olds.

Please wear your full uniform to the Closing Ceremony.
