Cubs win the AAA playoffs! Congrats!

Last night the Cubs won the AAA playoffs over the Giants 14-7 and they will now head to the District 17 Tournament of Champions. They will play on June 8th at 4:30 PM at Pasadena Central’s Victory Park Fields. They will play the winner of Santa Anita and San Marino, who play the day before.

Also, congratulations to the Giants, the regular season champs with the best overall record! They will head to the City Tournament and play on June 7th at 12:30 at Arcadia American’s Windsor Field. They will be taking on the squad from West Pasadena.

And finally, congratulations to the Dodgers, Astros, RedSox and Orioles for a great season of competitive baseball and tons of fun. We look forward to seeing many of those players in the Majors next year!

Live, love, and PSWLL!!

Closing Day for PSWLL is Saturday, May 31st, at Allendale Field.

There will be TeeBall games starting at 8am, and fun activities for kids at all levels (wiffle ball home run, pitching speed trials, water balloon toss at coaches, baseball tattoos, a real Pasadena firetruck, fun snacks…) starting at 8:30am.

The formal closing ceremonies will start at 10:30am and teams will be introduced and recognized for their great season, with trophies going to the Champions in each division, home run hitters, and a special ceremony for the 12 year olds who are “graduating” from PSWLL. We also have a dedication planned.

After the events, we close the field for the home-run derby, consisting of those players who hit over-the-fence home-runs. After that…well…you’ll just have to wait for the formal itinerary (coming soon!!).
