News and Announcements
This year, PSWLL wants you to leave your wallets and purses and kangaroo pockets at home, and embrace the Snack Stand Punch Card…
What say ye?!! Punch Card? Is that a French mime troupe? Is it a friend of Cha-ka who led Rick Marshall to the lost city to help find Will and Holly?
Here’s the deal — you buy a punch card for $20 at the Snack Shack — and we place your family name on the card. The card is kept at the Snack Stand.
Now, my friend Jim already has one (shhhh…his last name is secret). Anyway, Jim’s son decides to grab a hotdog…old Jim just tells his son, “Son, grab your ‘dog’ and pay for it using the punch card — just use our last name.” Jim’s son is now happy, and Jim didn’t have to dig into his money-clip.
Punch cards are now for sale!
The cost/value of the card is $20 cash (paid at the Snack Shack), and the card has increments of 25¢, 50¢ and $1. As you or your players buy products, we ‘punch’ off the amount on the card until its done.
Punch as you go and leave your wallet/purse/manbag/murse/pocketbook at home!
Punch cards are valid for the 2014 regular season only….and, when the season ends (meaning the day after closing day…June 1), the cards will disappear…no refunds.
THANK YOU FOR SUPPORTING PASADENA SOUTHWEST LITTLE LEAGUE!!
Folks! This Saturday, both Majors’ games in the morning will be coached by the players! We are making a morning of it…with players in helmets coaching the bases, calling the pitches, setting the batting orders, filling the positions, and embracing the fine game of baseball.
9am: Twins vs. Angels
11:15am: RedSox vs. Dodgers
Ladies and gentlemen, I’m here to tell you a very strange story — a story so strange that no one will believe it — but, ladies and gentlemen, seeing is believing…I’m going to show you the greatest thing your eyes have ever beheld. Is it KONG? No — its better than Kong…on Saturday its 11 and 12-year olds in helmets coaching the bases, calling the pitches, setting the batting orders, and filling the positions. Why not come out and see something unlike you have ever seen before??!!
Don’t be alarmed, ladies and gentlemen. Those chains are made of chrome steel. Plus, the Snack Emporium (formally the Snack Shack) will be open.
Come on out Saturday morning – you gotta see these players rock and roll!
Hi Friends of PSWLL – This year we are offering two sponsorship levels, $300 and $500. Very exciting for your business, and for PSWLL!! Keep reading and be happy! :-)
The first level is for a banner in the outfield at $300 for the entire season. Banners are viewed by families and players at every game and practice throughout the season. They are also viewed by various teams and organizations who utilize the field during the week, and by parents/students at the schools near us as they mill-about Allendale. That’s a lot of people looking at your banner.
Banners can be for your business, or to celebrate your player (“Hey Charlie – hit one here!”). Or celebrate the date January 17th, 1706 (Ben Franklin’s birthday) on a banner. Or honor a local charity.
For an additional $200 – and here is the cool thing — we will include a half-page add for your business in the PSWLL 2014 Yearbook. These yearbooks will be available at the end of the season to all players. The half-page adds will only be offered in conjunction with the purchase of a banner sponsorship.
“I’m interested!!” you may be saying. To start the process of supporting your business/interests and PSWLL with a banner, please send an email to Charmean Neithart – our sponsorship rep — email@example.com — she will get the ball rolling.
Thank you for your sponsorship interest for the PSWLL 2014 season.
Hi Gang – just a gentle reminder that its GREAT to root for your players — “Go Johnny!!” — but please don’t root out loud against the other team “Booooo Reds”.
More importantly, did you know that the players at bat at Allendale can HEAR both sets of fans? Yup. Did you also know that a negative comment by a fan in the past few weeks led a young batter to tears? Yup. Its stressful out there folks…pressure is on some of these players…positive comments “Hey…great swing” are appreciated.
Let’s be positive when we can, and respectful. Its the Little League way…its the PSWLL way. If someone next to you is saying something negative…gently remind them to be positive.
Baseball rocks…let’s keep it fun and happy!
